Something About Me? Okay

Alright.  I’m almost 56.  I’m VERY happily married.  I’ve lived about 3 lifetimes in 6 states with 2 men and 4 children.  I collect kids like other people collect salt and pepper shakers. I’m simultaneously bitchy, opinionated, soft-hearted, and stooopid.  I think our country is going to hell  in a handbasket. I think the corporate mind in America is retarded.  I think that common sense is a thing of the past, like writing letters and dial telephones.  I believe that people’s rights are being whittled away by the government little by little and that we as a nation are letting it happen.  I believe that the founding fathers of this nation would puke if they saw what is happening now.   I believe that Kulkulkan and Quetzalcoatl are connected in some way to Kenniwick man or at least to the people Kenniwick man was connected to.  I believe that people with Down’s syndrome are an evolutionary attempt at a gentler human being.  I believe that there have been advanced civilizations on this earth more than once and that ice ages and other natural occurrences have scoured them from the face of the earth.  I believe that global warming will lead to the next ice age, and I believe that we will see it begin in our lifetime.  And just so you know that I know, I also believe that for the most part, I’m remarkably full of shit.

Hey! That really did not sound like you were full of shit!!! There was a lot of “sense” in it 😀

Blogs worth reading and bloggers worth commenting to are far and few between. You and your blog are an exception that rule.
One rule I live by is if I can’t document a statement with ‘real’ facts, I put it forward as ‘my thoughts’ and to be taken with a smile and a grain of salt. If you don’t have a sense of humor, Get One! If you can’t change it, Stop whining and move on. If Grandma or Grandpa said it, then it must be true.
Looking forward to reading more of your ‘random, ranting, opinions on how the world ‘should’ be. :-))

    Let’s see,

    1. We are all full of shit…some more than others.

    2. I just turned 50 or 49ish, depends on my mood.

    3. I believe with your assessment of the world and I worry about what my kids are going to be facing, except their too stupid and arrogant to care (must be a generation thing).

By the way, thanks for the great rating in BlogCatalog, it’s really encouraging.

And yes, I think your blog is great. You’ve pulled in another fan from the abyss of the blogging world.

I’ll try to keep you up late as often as possible. 🙂

Hey thanks for the comment on my humor site. I have really enjoyed reading your blog. Our youngest son Alex (now 21) flew the nest last summer to finish college. So there is something to be said for collecting kids…you never run out! On my “serious” site http://nouturn.wordpress.com/ i posted a short story “The Robin’s Nest” that I had written for Joan when Alex left home. You might enjoy it…..then again…you may never have to face it!

    Thanks again,
